Maureen FitzSimons was the child of Charles FitzSimons. Peggy, Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons completed this lovely family. Maureen excelled at sports and loved rough games. The combination of this naturally-born interest with her ability in performing was astonishing. She was awarded nearly every Feis Award for Theater and Drama the country could give. When she was fourteen, she was admitted into the Abbey Theater, where her dream was to pursue operatic singing and classical theater.
